Draughtsman Mechanical
- Preparations of machine drawings, plants, mechanical components, equipment, etc. from sketches, notes, data or sample for purposes of manufacture or repairs.
- Update / revised 2D drawings from instructions of Design Engineer and calculates dimensions as required, from available materials (notes, data etc.) or sample.
- Design / Drafting to Detailed drawings, Assembly drawings, showing plan, elevations, sectional views, Development of surfaces etc. according to nature of work and operations required.
- As per Standards Writes dimensions, tolerances, material to be used and other details to gives clear picture and facilitate understanding.
- Print / Plot drawings and Maintains copies of drawings and makes tracing drawings and blue prints.
- Design simple mechanical parts and Prepare estimates for materials and labour required. May specialize in making drawings of jigs, fixtures, Dies and press tools and be designated accordingly.
- Develop 2D drawings from 3D models or parts in CAD
- He can join as an Instructor in an Industrial Training Institute / Vocational / Technical Institute. Also join as a supervisor in Industries.
